This vase uses the traditional two-part formula of kaolin mixed with porcelain stone for the body. The clay was repeatedly washed and aged, resulting in a dense and delicate texture. The exposed base shows a white clay tinged with yellow, formed naturally from the high-temperature oxidation of iron in the clay. The foot ring is neatly polished and rounded, the walls of the vase exhibit balanced thickness, and the overall weight is steady, exemplifying the typical body features of fine porcelain from the Qing dynasty.

The entire piece is covered in glaze, with only the rim of the foot ring left unglazed. It integrates the ancient techniques of "dang glazing" and "blown glazing," resulting in an even, flawless glaze layer.
