In the turbulent late Qing Dynasty, a monetary reform aimed at salvaging the empire's economic lifeline gave birth to the last nationally recognized silver dollar of China's feudal dynasties—the Xuantong Year 3 Qing Silver Dollar One Yuan with the Curved-Horn Dragon design. This 1911 silver coin was both the Qing court's final attempt to end monetary chaos and restore financial authority, as well as the pinnacle of Chinese-Western coin craftsmanship, with its tiny surface engraved with the twilight of an empire and the end of an era. Since the late Qing period, provincial mints had produced a bewildering array of silver dollars with inconsistent silver content, while foreign coins long dominated circulation, severely hindering domestic economic exchange. Yet as large-scale minting of silver dollars had just begun, the gunfire of the Wuchang Uprising shattered the dynasty's tranquility. The Qing Dynasty's collapse abruptly halted the monetary reform, making the Curved-Horn Dragon Qing Silver Dollar the "last echo" of imperial coinage, with its brief mintage background endowing it with unparalleled historical value and legendary status.

The font is clear and neat, and the overall layout is symmetrical and balanced, showing solemnity and elegance. Compared with other trial coin versions, although the Quxulong version is a circulating coin, its scarcity still far exceeds that of ordinary Longyang coins.
